As Head/Assistant Coach of either the Men’s or Women’s Reserve/Divisional team at the Mt Lofty Volleyball Club you will be responsible for the running of your team under the guidance of the League coaches for the 2019 season. Throughout the season, a key objective will be to unite the senior teams to form a culture of one program and to develop playing systems that are directed from the League Head Coaches. This position comes with an honorarium payment at the end of the Volleyball SA Indoor season which can be discussed with applicants during the application process.
The Reserve/Divisional Head/Assistant Coach will be responsible for the following:
During Preseason
Working with the Committee to plan 2019 season
Attending and running preseason training’s that are planned by the League Men’s/Women’s coach
Assist in planning to compete in the 2019 Warrnambool Seaside Competition (March long weekend)
Attend the Warrnambool Seaside Competition if required
During the Season
Selection of team with input from the League coach during the VSA season
Running training to improve basic offensive and defensive structures
Setting and communicating Club expectations through all senior teams
Head/Assistant coach the team that you involved with
Assigns duties to an Assistant Coach/Team Manager as necessary
Provides a short recap of the game for the Facebook/paper every week
Sit on benches of other teams, when available to do so on game days
Select MVP votes after each home and away game and submit
Foster and maintain a program culture across all teams (Men or Women)
Maintain a Club First Culture
Follow the Mt Lofty and VSA policies
Prerequisites
High level of experience coaching State League or higher
Obtained, or willing to obtain, Level 2 Coaching Accreditation
Obtained, or willing to obtain accreditation deemed necessary from VSA
Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a DSCI Screening
